Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Tawsik ("Tawsik", "we", "us") is operated by Anthony Zakkour, an individual (sole trader) based in France (postal code 95380). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Tawsik website, risk checker, and application (the "Service").

2. Guidance, not legal advice

Tawsik helps you understand and work toward EU AI Act compliance. It provides general guidance and document drafts — not legal advice — and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. You are responsible for your own compliance and should obtain qualified legal advice for your specific situation.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it unlawfully.
• Don't rely on outputs as a substitute for professional legal judgement.
• Don't upload content you have no right to use.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid plan. Fees, billing cycles, and any trial terms are shown at checkout and processed by our payment provider Stripe. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its content and brand, is owned by Tawsik. You retain ownership of the information you submit, and grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the Service. Documents generated for you are yours to use.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that outputs are complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Regulatory content may change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tawsik is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Tawsik against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict rules.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
